Many thanks to everyone who joined us last week for the London Reunion, it was a fabulous night in the city. Most of the decades were well represented with Sidcotians from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 2000’s, including a number of recent leavers from 2021 and 2022.
Our thanks to John Highfield (S: 1957 – 1961) for joining us as an Old Scholar and representative of the Sidcot Buildings Trust Fund (SBTF). It was great to be able to update everyone in attendance on our current Sixth Form Transformation, which has received significant support from the SBTF and is now in its final phase of completion. For more information on the SBTF, please follow this link: https://www.sidcotiansconnect.org.uk/pages/sidcot-building-trust-fund
Our international Sidcotians, many of whom are now studying in London universities, were all really pleased to have an opportunity to catch up with Amandine Smilevich, our Head of Boarding and Alison Pike, our Careers Adviser, who shared some feedback of her own:
“I don't think I've done so much speed networking in years! It was a lovely evening, thank you to everyone who came, it was a very special experience.”
The feedback from many of the Sidcotians present was that they would like us to host a London Reunion on a regular basis.
It was really lovely for the Alumni team to be present at the event and have the opportunity to meet with such an eclectic mix of Sidcotians and Old Scholars. We even found some willing volunteers to be part of our new Alumni poster campaign (watch this space!). Below is a selection of photos from the evening. If you have any others of your own to share, please send them to Rachele in the Alumni office and I will add them to the gallery: alumni@sidcot.org.uk.
