Many thanks to everyone who joined us earlier this month for the London Reunion, it was a fabulous night in the city. Most of the decades were well represented with Sidcotians from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 2000’s, including a number of recent leavers from 2020 and 2022.
Our thanks to John Highfield (S: 1957 – 1961) for joining us as an Old Scholar and representative of the Sidcot Buildings Trust Fund (SBTF). Also, to Sidcotian and School Governor Peter Openshaw (S: 1967 - 1970) who is truly embracing the school moto and continues to Live Adventurously as he arrived on a Brompton having taken on the London commuter traffic on a dark night in November.
It was a lovely opportunity for Sidcotians to wish Iain farewell and good luck in his new role in Shanghai. There was lots of networking accross the Sidcotian year groups which was great to see. Our Careers Advisor Alison Pike was also on hand to help out with ongoing Careers pointers and advice. We all enjoyed hearing updates from Sidcotians on how their studies and Careers were progressing.
Thanks also to Albert Chung (Class of 2021) for offering to host a University visit to UAL (University of the Arts London), for current students in the Spring term.
It was really lovely for the Alumni team to be present at the event and have the opportunity to meet with such an eclectic mix of Sidcotians and Old Scholars. We even found some willing volunteers to be part of our new Alumni poster campaign (watch this space!). Below is a selection of photos from the evening. If you have any others of your own to share, please send them to Rachele in the Alumni office and I will add them to the gallery: alumni@sidcot.org.uk.
