Sidcotians Today |
Advice - send your children to boarding school (as an Alumni, I suggest Quaker Schools.) Boarding teaches students to intergrate in society and they learn to increase thier own independence away from their parents. As a boarder you are with teens from accross the world in a house and living together as an extended family. Heads of House (at Sidcot they are teachers) are your school parents. They are always independent and are open and caring but someone you have to have "respect"! Rules are applied and everyone follows them - you are NOT alone as a boarder. You learn tolerance and understanding for others and multiple cultures. You can't argue! To live together we have to respect everything & everyone! I myself am a "cocktail" reproduction for being half German, so for me being in a multicultural envoironment was the perfect fit.
