Travel Award 2019

2019 TRAVEL AWARD

Applications now welcome!

Travel Award was established in 1940 by former Headmaster George Hutchinson and his wife, Hilda Hutchinson née Clothier. They were both Old Scholars. The award is designed to encourage you to make a positive difference in the world no matter how small it may seem.

So, think what skills you can offer, what you are good at and enjoy doing, and what global issues you feel strongly about. Recent winners have travelled to Tanzania, Nicaragua and Thailand to volunteer in animal conservation projects, help build more sustainable communities or to coach sports to children in need.

This year we have £1,000 available for you to win. It's open to all Sidcot Sixth Form Students and Old Scholars (recent leavers who have left in the last 3 years). Those who wish travel abroad and undertake some charitable work to make a positive change. There is an application form to complete, an interview with Sidcot Education Trust (who generally funds this award today).

Ready to apply? Contact the alumni manager (Joanna Hodnett, Class of 2004) today!
Good luck and thank you for taking the time to apply.
